Former GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger vows to campaign against Trump: ‘Do you support democracy or authoritarianism?’

While promoting his new book “Renegade” at a book festival in Atlanta, former U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) vowed to return to Georgia next year and campaign against former President Donald Trump (R). Kinzinger also said Democrats must win the White House in 2024, and that he’d help them do it.
“There’s only one thing on the ballot in 2024: Do you support democracy or authoritarianism?” Kinzinger said. After the attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, Kinzinger became one of the few members of the GOP to criticize the actions of Trump openly and regularly.
