Although Haley effectively surrendered the GOP nomination to former President Donald Trump last month, she was notably the only Republican candidate in the presidential primary who refused to endorse him. Pennsylvania is one of the most sought-after swing states during presidential elections, and it will be worth 19 electoral votes in November. President Joe Biden secured the state in 2020, when he notched 81,660 votes more than Trump.
On Tuesday, Biden took home 929,404 votes while Trump obtained 789,139. Other notable results include David McCormick winning the GOP nomination in the U.S. Senate race while former TV News anchor Janelle Stelson will face Freedom Caucus leader Scott Perry (R) for Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District seat.
