Screenshots from Sen. JD Vance’s (R-OH) website have begun circulating online, highlighting the vice-presidential candidate’s staunch stance against abortion.
As of Monday, a section titled “End Abortion” was visible on Vance’s website, where he affirmed that he is “100 percent pro-life” and supports “eliminating abortion.” The website now redirects to former President Donald Trump’s website.

Vance has twisted his many public statements on this issue in the past. Recently, he told CBS that his stance on the issue matches Trump’s, which is that the states should determine their own policies. However, in addition to his website blurb, Vance has publicly supported a federal abortion ban proposed by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) in 2022.
Last November, Vance also told reporters that there is no way the pro-life movement can exist without Congress having a role in the matter.
“We can’t give in to the idea that the federal Congress has no role in this matter, because if it doesn’t, then the pro-life movement is basically not going to exist, I think, for the next couple years,” Vance said.
When Ohio passed an amendment to codify the rights to abortion and contraception into the state constitution, Vance made a post on X calling it a “gut punch.”
