 Krug transitioned from male to female at age 52 when she was a trial lawyer in Iowa; she later became one of the few attorneys nationally to try jury cases in separate genders. The author of Getting to Ellen: A Memoir about Love, Honesty and Gender Change (2013) and Being Ellen: A Second Chance at Life (2025), Ellie has been a radio host on AM950 in the Twin Cities since 2016. When she’s not on the radio, Ellie presents to audiences across the country on topics around human inclusivity, working to make the world a better place for all humans.
