Kitchen Table Progressive

Schedule: Sundays 6PM-7PM

Kitchen Table Progressive is an up-tempo, casual conversation about current events, from a perspective that progressively minded people will find interesting and important. The discussion revolves around the underlying law, civics, and politics behind the issues, driving the   motivations of the players. Our goal is not only to inform the audience about the topics, but also to bring fresh and unique ideas to the issues that they probably haven’t heard before. We show how progressive positions make more sense for most people, and that culture wars are a mere distraction. Equality and fairness are the root of justice for all.

Paul Richardson is the quintessential Renaissance Man. As a career educator, he has taught a plethora of subjects, from mathematics and sciences, psychology and social sciences, to English and literature, history, and music. In his high school years, he was classically trained at the Detroit Conservatory of Music, majoring in music theory & composition and piano. After high school, Paul took time out to pursue his love of popular music by   touring the states with a couple of established musical acts, before returning to classical music studies at Michigan State University. His deep interest in music theory brought him to the crossroads of mathematics and music, where he made his transition into acoustical physics and other sciences, including physiology, biochemistry, and   microbiology. Paul finished a BS in Natural Sciences, with a secondary education teaching credential, and set forth to pursue a graduate degree in Counseling & Educational Psychology, before beginning his teaching career. He wears as many hats now as ever, adding constitutional law to his wardrobe of endowments, while maintaining his own private educational consulting business, and pursuing his music and song writing talents. As a multi- instrumentalist, he writes, records and produces all the music for the program. Paul is likely to draw upon any aspect of this diverse wealth of aptitudes during a Kitchen Table Progressive discussion.

Joyce Nance grew up in southern California and after graduation from high school became a truck driver for the U.S. Army. Following discharge from the military, she graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Business/Accounting. After a decade working as an accountant, she achieved her lifelong dream to own her own video business and started VideoCat Productions in San Francisco, California. Eventually she sold her company and wrote six books, including a couple of true crime books, set in Albuquerque, NM.
