Fake electors in Michigan throwing a pool party fundraiser to pay for legal fees
Meshawn Maddock, one of the 16 fake electors facing felony charges in Michigan, is throwing a fundraising pool party at her home on Friday in defiance of the possible prison time she and her alleged co-conspirators may face.

Maddock is charging $30 a ticket for the party, where she will provide snacks but encourages participants to “bring your own drank.” The website also says the proceeds will be used to pay for the legal defense funds for the 16 fake electors “fighting the politicized attacks from the EVIL AG Dana Nessel!”
Maddock is the former co-chair of the Michigan Republican party, and she was at the center of a scheme to overturn the 2020 elections results of her state. Even though the majority of Michigan voters selected Joe Biden in 2020 by over 150,000 votes, Maddock and 15 others forged and attempted to deliver a fake list of electors to the Michigan capital in Lansing on Dec. 14, 2020 to falsely certify President Donald Trump’s second term. Earlier this year, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel launched an investigation into the scheme, and she is now charging the 16 individuals on eight counts, some of which are felonies.

CNN previously obtained audio of Maddock bragging about the plot and how the group of conspirators were directed by Trump’s allies.
“We fought to seat the electors,” Maddock says. “The Trump campaign asked us to do that. Under a lot of scrutiny for that today.”
The other fake electors include Kent Vanderwood, the sitting mayor of Wyoming, Mich., Kathy Berden, a committeewoman for the Michigan Republican National Committee and dairy farmer Hank Choate.
