Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee warns of ‘political disaster’ if Republicans impeach Biden
During a Monday appearance on the Real America’s Voice show “Just the News, No Noise,” former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) warned the GOP against impeaching President Joe Biden.
“And it would be a huge mistake for the Republicans to impeach Joe Biden,” Huckabee said. “But to impeach Joe Biden in the House knowing it’s not going to go to the Senate so there’s no point. All it becomes is a political disaster.”
Huckabee explained that the Republicans should wait until some Democrats in the Senate are overwhelmed by corruption evidence against Biden to vote for impeachment.
In September, then-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) directed the House Judiciary, Oversight and Ways and Means committees to formally conduct an impeachment inquiry into Biden. The effort has been downplayed by Biden, Democrats, legal experts and even some Republicans, while evidence has been slipshod at best so far.
