Indiana held its primary elections on Tuesday, where withdrawn Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley took a sizable chunk of votes away from former President Donald Trump in that state’s most populous county.

Despite dropping out of the race more than two months ago on March 6, Haley took home 35% of the vote (15,808) in Marion County, which incorporates the city of Indianapolis and its surrounding suburbs. In total, Haley won 128,168 votes in the state’s Republican primary.

It was a similar story in Pennsylvania last month, where Haley secured 156,986 votes during the state’s April 23 primaries despite Trump being the presumptive nominee.

Haley was appointed by Trump to serve as the United States’ ambassador to the United Nations in 2017, and she served under his administration for nearly two years. Despite her political ties to Trump, Haley refused to endorse him for the November general election against President Joe Biden.
