Democrat David Crowley has won the Wisconsin gubernatorial election.

The Associated Press/Decision Desk called the race for Crowley at 11:28 p.m. EST. As of 11:35 p.m. EST, Crowley led over Republican congressman Tom Tiffany by a count of 53.5% to 46.4%.

Cook Political Report rated the race as a toss-up. Crowley’s win extends Democrats’ tenure in Wisconsin’s highest office for another four years. He narrowly defeated Francesca Hong in the Democratic primary.

Crowley currently serves as executive of Milwaukee County, the most populous county in Wisconsin. His campaign focused on affordability, housing and local control over AI data centers.

Tiffany has served in the U.S. House representing Wisconsin’s 7th district since 2020. A staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, he defended the president’s violent use of federal immigration agencies and his tariffs.
