Rep. Max Miller calls Israel aid bill that he voted for ‘disgusting’ over added IRS cuts

During an interview at the Capitol, Rep. Max Miller (R-OH) criticized the Israel aid package passed by the House of Representatives earlier this month over the government cuts put in it.

Citing the portion of the bill that slashed funding for the Internal Revenue Service, Miller called the bill his own party drafted “stupid” — despite voting for it.

“Putting any type of cuts to a supplemental package to one of our greatest allies in the world is disgusting,” Miller said. “I think it’s stupid. I’m supportive of Israel — don’t get me wrong, I voted for it — but I think it’s a gimmick.”

Miller is a practicing Jew who was previously appointed to former President Donald Trump’s Holocaust Memorial Council. During his time in the Trump administration, Miller dated former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham, who claimed Miller was physically abusive to her.
