A report from the Daily Mail found that Ryan Mackenzie, who is vying for Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District, said he was 29 years old on a Tinder dating profile when he was actually 37.
A report from the Daily Mail found that Ryan Mackenzie, who is vying for Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District, said he was 29 years old on a Tinder dating profile when he was actually 37.
Mackenzie’s profile was active in March 2020, while he was representing the 134th District in Pennsylvania’s House of Representatives. Mackenzie has since married his wife Chloe, and they have a young son.
After redistricting, Mackenzie now represents the 187th district, but is on the ballot for the 7th Congressional District race for November. This will be Mackenzie’s third attempt at a congressional run, after withdrawing bids in both 2018 and 2020.
Mackenzie is challenging Rep. Susan Wild (D), who has held the seat since 2018. Wild’s seat is considered vulnerable and currently listed as a toss-up by 270 to Win. Wild narrowly won reelection in 2022 by 5,837 votes against her Republican opponent Lisa Scheller.
