The Emerging Menaces
Saturday mornings at 7:00 a.m. Central on WCPT, Ken Soens and Frank Schultz co-host “The Emerging Menaces,” a show that focuses on Illinois, Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
Ken and Frank both grew up on the Northwest Side and share personal stories and life experiences with guests and co-hosts. No topic is off limits. From sports to human interest and everything in between . . . facts, fiction, politics, comedy and commentary. It’s all about Chicago. Without ketchup!

Ken grew up on the Northwest side of Chicago. His radio background includes: WKDC/ On-Air host in Elmhurst then WMAQ & WGN radio as a board operator and producer. He also worked at WCLR/WTMX and WLS in other capacities. Ken is a bass player/vocalist and spent 38 years playing in his eight-piece band all around Chicagoland.
Frank also grew up on the Northwest side of Chicago and was Ken’s neighbor for 27 years. “My professional life has been varied,” he says, “having had disparate careers. I’ve been a business owner in the mobile electronics industry, in management in the wireless industry, then transitioning to banking, where I managed retail bank branches for JPMorgan Chase and Citibank. From there I transitioned to my current career as a financial adviser, first with Wells Fargo Advisors and now RCM Wealth Advisors, a boutique wealth management firm based in Chicago but with offices throughout the country. In addition to helping clients manage their investments, I’m an insurance specialist. When I’m not helping clients, I enjoy all things food-related (including both dining out and cooking), travel, live music, fast cars and motorcycles, and anything that makes my pulse quicken. And yes, I’ve got an opinion about almost everything, especially loving a good debate.”
