The Trump-anointed candidate for Michigan’s Secretary of State, Kristina Karamo, put her feelings about the Rainbow God, the ungodliness of feminism and the people dragging the country’s youth straight to hell on full display in an August 2020 episode of her podcast, “It’s Solid Food.”
In her podcast’s second episode, titled “We Are Being Lied To!!!!,” Karamo declares that she understands that same sex attraction “in and of itself is unnatural.”
As a single woman, she said, if she “was to go have sex with a man right now, it’s still a natural desire. While if I were to go after a woman, that’s an unnatural desire.”
But where Karamo really takes issue is people not accepting her lack of acceptance. “The Leftists now have this thing that you can’t even ask questions. You can’t even ask questions about homosexuality. You literally have to bow to the Rainbow God.”
After claiming that the feminist movement started because women turned to “ungodliness” while fighting for gender equality, she ranted about schools teaching LGBTQ issues and transgender youth acceptance.
She referred to teaching those topics as “Satan … trying to get children while they’re small,” and said, “the education system is being used as a tool to push sexual sin.”
Karamo also, without evidence, attacked with the established reasons behind high LGBTQ youth suicide rates.
“The media is deceiving the public saying, ‘Oh, well, you look at the suicide rate. Look at the suicide rate it’s because of stigma.’ And like even the [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention], they [sic] like, ‘it’s because of stigma. We don’t know why, we think it’s stigma that’s called.’ Stigma? How about the act itself is simply not natural?”
While the word “stigma” does not appear on the CDC’s webpage about LGBTQ youth, the page does say that 29% of “LGB youth had attempted suicide at least once in the prior year compared to 6% of heterosexual youth,” according to a 2016 study.
And a 2006 study showed LGB students at schools that prohibit expressions of homophobia and had gay-straight alliances had fewer suicidal thoughts and attempts than students at schools without those mechanisms of support and acceptance.
Karamo wraps up the episode by going after Zaya Wade, the trans daughter of Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union. She was 12 years old when the podcast episode came out.
“You see that the Wades, they are just the worst. So, I’m talking about like Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union and they have their, that little boy parade him around talking about he’s a girl.”
In their 2020 National Survey on LBGTQ Youth Mental Health, the Trevor Project, a suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ youth, said young trans and nonbinary people whose pronouns weren’t respected attempted suicide at more than double the rate of those whose pronouns were respected.
Karamo continued misgendering Zaya Wade as she dug into her age. “So you mean a 12 year old boy, we’re talking about the sexual proclivities and the sexual desires of a 12 year old? Like, this is pedophilic. You see what people don’t see is happening: The next great deception is going to be normalizing pedophilia.”
Gender identity and sexual orientation are not the same thing, or related. Trans and nonbinary people may identify with any sexual orientation, just as cisgender people do.
Before she ends the episode, Karamo has one more group to add to her Satanic helpers list: “I’ve seen churches flying rainbow flags. These are agents of Satan. Period.”
