U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) proposed an amendment to a foreign aid bill Wednesday that would require members of Congress who vote in favor to join the Ukrainian military.

“Any member of Congress who votes in favor of this Act shall be required to conscript in the Ukrainian military,” the text reads.

This is the latest stunt by MAGA Republicans in an effort to condemn a foreign aid package being pushed through Congress by House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-AL). Greene is also holding a motion to vacate the speakership on the grounds that Johnson is “serving the Democrats” with a bill that would give funding to Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan. Johnson has been defiant of the threat, saying this is a quote “critical time.”

“My philosophy is you do the right thing and you let the chips fall where they may,” Johnson told the media on Wednesday. “If I operated out of fear of a motion to vacate, I would never be able to do my job.”
