AIPAC-linked donors help fuel Illinois Donna Miller’s fundraising haul in Illinois congressional race

Fundraising records show that Donna Miller, a Democratic candidate in Illinois’ 2nd Congressional District race, received major funding boosts from the same donors who have given to the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and Republican groups.

Fundraising records show that Donna Miller, a Democratic candidate in Illinois’ 2nd Congressional District race, received major funding boosts from the same donors who have given to the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and Republican groups.

After the most recent fundraising update, which shows donations through Dec. 31, 2025, Miller leads the field of 10 candidates in total receipts ($1,295,068) and cash on hand ($978,255). Miller’s financial disclosures show a major fundraising spike in the fourth quarter of 2025 from donors who also contributed to President Donald Trump.

Federal Election Commission filings also show that Miller received more than $875,000 from major donors who have also given to AIPAC and the United Democracy Project, its affiliated super PAC.

In recent years, analysis of American politicians and their FEC records prove that AIPAC has immense power and influence over the United States government. This influence has seen both of America’s major political parties take millions in election donations from a lobbying group that acts on behalf of the Israeli government.

Republicans, including Trump, and Democrats like Miller have continued to accept AIPAC’s support even as the Israeli government perpetuates an ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip with American weapons and money.

AIPAC has also committed millions to help defeat progressive Democrats who have been critical of Israel in recent years, including Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush.

AIPAC’s influence has suddenly propelled Miller to the forefront of Illinois’ 2nd District congressional race in fundraising, as she had only raised $242,494 prior to the final quarter of 2025.

“Donna Miller should be honest with the voters of the 2nd Congressional District about who is funding her campaign — and why,” said Peters campaign manager Matthew Fisch in a press release. “Right wing forces have apparently decided that Donna Miller is their best investment in this race. That should be a red flag for every voter as Trump wreaks havoc on our communities.”

Reporting from Drop Site News confirmed that fellow Illinois candidates Melissa Bean, who is running in the 8th Congressional District, and Laura Fine in the 9th Congressional District are also receiving major financial support from similar pro-Israeli donors.
