Ginni Thomas, the conservative activist and wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, emailed Wisconsin lawmakers and urged them to take part in former President Donald Trump’s efforts to decertify the 2020 election results.

Previous reporting from the Washington Post showed that Thomas sent emails to several Arizona legislators and called on them to choose alternate electors. New images published by the Post show Thomas sent similar emails to Republican officials in Wisconsin after the election results showed Joe Biden won. The two officials are state Sen. Kathy Bernier and state Rep. Gary Tauchen.

During presidential elections, electors are chosen via popular vote of the people living in respective states, not by elected officials. However, Republicans in Wisconsin did compile a list of fake electors, which made it all the way to Sen. Ron Johnson’s (R-WI) office with the intention for it to be sent to then-Vice President Mike Pence on Jan. 6, 2021.

In addition to sending the emails, Thomas promoted and attended the Stop the Steal rally, which turned into the Capitol riot on Jan. 6. Thomas also exchanged text messages with Trump’s then-Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, in which she continuously pressured him to fight to overturn the election results.
