Recent poll puts Biden ahead of Trump in Pennsylvania

A new poll from Susquehanna Polling and Research suggests an eight-point edge to President Joe Biden (47%) over likely Republican challenger Donald Trump (39%).

A new poll from Susquehanna Polling and Research suggests an eight-point edge to President Joe Biden (47%) over likely Republican challenger Donald Trump (39%).

In the 2020 presidential election, Biden was awarded Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral votes after securing 3,459,923 votes (50.0%) to Trump’s 3,378,263 votes (48.8%). More recently, Sen. John Fetterman (D) handily defeated the Trump-endorsed Dr. Mehmet Oz. Fetterman overcame the former daytime TV show host by 263,752 votes in Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senate race during the 2022 midterms.

Meanwhile, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) won the state gubernatorial election with 56.5% of the vote over state Sen. Doug Mastriano (R), who participated in the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

The Susquehanna poll gives a slight edge to incumbent Sen. Bob Casey (D), who is vying to retain his seat against probable GOP challenger David McCormick.

Polling from other Midwestern states like Michigan and Minnesota also, give the edge to Biden, while he behind Trump from anywhere between four and six percentage points in Wisconsin.
