Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson (R) lets the conspiracy theories fly during YouTube interview

During an interview with YouTuber “Tommy G,” U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) entertained the idea that the government was involved with President John F. Kennedy’s assassination and said the left should be investigated for Jeffrey Epstein’s death.

In the middle of the 20-minute video released Tuesday, which is titled “Investigating Corruption in Washington DC,” YouTuber and documentarian Tommy McGee said that Johnson was the only U.S. senator willing to be interviewed by him. One of the questions posed by McGee to Johnson was whether government intelligence agencies were involved in JFK’s assassination.

“I mean it’s certainly possible, yeah,” Johnson said. “The American people deserve the truth, and they haven’t gotten it.”

“There’s so many unanswered questions, so many witnesses that just died, so many leads that weren’t followed up on, so much evidence that obviously should have been collected that people have been prevented from collecting,” Johnson continued.

Johnson also said that he does not trust U.S. intelligence agencies because he’s seen them act corruptly while originally denying the existence of Hunter Biden’s laptop. He also said that he assumes he is always being tailed and that his phones and computers are being tapped into.

“I just kind of assume they are,” Johnson responded when asked about his phones being tapped.

Johnson recommended people read the 2008 book “JFK and the Unspeakable: Why He Died and Why It Matters” by James W. Douglass. In it, Douglass argues that the U.S. intelligence community ultimately executed JFK’s assassination due to the president working towards global peace, which he says made him a “virtual traitor” to U.S. military intelligence.

The senator’s comments come after President Joe Biden made the “final certification” of released documents related to the JFK assassination, which say Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in assassinating JFK. According to a poll released last December by Democratic pollster Fernand Amandi, 50% of Americans believe there were others besides Oswald involved in the 1963 assassination.

McGee also asked if Jeffrey Epstein’s death was fishy, and Johnson proceeded to claim that it’s mostly people on the left that were involved with Epstein and his “island pleasures.” Epstein was imprisoned for sex trafficking charges over allegations of abusing dozens of underage girls in the 2000s before dying by hanging himself in August 2019. And despite Johnson’s claim, Epstein’s infamous “little black book” showed he had connections across the political spectrum, from Donald Trump to Bill Clinton.

Johnson also said that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is a remarkable character and that he shares a lot of views with the conspiracy pedaling presidential candidate. Johnson himself has been known to regurgitate uncorroborated information about topics like COVID, climate change and electric vehicles.

Despite the topic of the video being investigating corruption, Johnson was ironically involved in a corrupt plot to overturn the 2020 election results. Johnson recently secured his third term in the U.S. Senate after defeating Mandela Barnes last November.
