He joined the Minnesota Capitol press corps in 2016 and formed his own short-lived online political newsletter, Session-Law.com, in 2021. He is author of RTNDA’s Guide to Building a Newsroom Website (1998) and was a principal contributor to Sage Publications’ The Encyclopedia of New Media (2003). Now semi-retired, he is an occasional Twin Cities-based freelance writer.
