Anti-LGBTQ, inflammatory mailers sent out to Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota voters by conservative dark money group
Last-minute mailers are popping up in Arkansas, Iowa and Minnesota that accuse Democrats of inflammatory lies by appealing to Critical Race Theory and anti-trans hysteria.
A Virginia-based political action committee called Make Liberty Win has been sending out the mailers to discredit Democratic candidates just before Election Day with anti-LGBTQ and inflammatory imagery. The mailer from Minnesota voters criticizes Brad Tabke, a member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party that is running to represent District 54A in Minnesota’s House of Representatives. The mailer suggests that Tabke supports “putting a drag queen in every school.”
“Democrats like Brad Tabke have been shouting this message and making good on their threat to expose young children to as much sexually explicit content in schools as possible,” the mailer reads.

The same mailer was sent out in Arkansas, with every word the same except for the candidate and state references. The Arkansas mailers encourage voting against Reps. Jay Richardson (D) and David Whitaker (D). They are two of the handful of Democrats in the Arkansas’s House of Representatives, which has a Republican supermajority.
Another mailer in Minnesota associated Tabke with a statement made by a Yale professor about killing white people. These statements were taken out of context from a New York Times article.
Make Liberty Win is funded by a conservative dark money group in Texas, Young Americans for Liberty. Thousands are being spent to send out the mailers that appeal to the Critical Race Theory paranoia and anti-trans rhetoric that the right has weaponized as culture war issues this election cycle. High-profile Republicans have spread several other lies and conspiracy theories about gender and race to spread moral panic against Democratic candidates.
