A Republican North Dakota state representative last week publicly pushed for overturning Ohio’s election results after Ohioans voted to guarantee a constitutional right to reproductive care.
After Ohio voted last Tuesday to legalize recreational marijuana and enshrine reproductive rights into the state constitution through a pair of ballot initiatives, North Dakota state Rep. Brandon Prichard (R-Bismarck) said in an X post (formerly Twitter) that it would be “an act of courage to ignore the results of the election and not allow for the murder of Ohio babies.” Prichard also used the results to contend that direct democracy should not exist, which coincides with recent Republican efforts to limit the voting power of citizens by restricting ballot measures.
Direct democracy should not exist. Case-in-point: Ohio legalizing the slaughter of babies.
It would be an act of courage to ignore the results of the election and not allow for the murder of Ohio babies.
We are probably 10 years away from this opinion being acceptable though.
